NFL Football on Saturday. . . you gotta love it!!! Here my selection in the early game with more to follow. Let me know what you think.

5 Units Atlanta Falcons +7.5 -102

Despite the fact that neither team is playing for a postseason invitation, these Divisional rivals will be setting the tone for next year. The Falcons come off a humiliating loss to the playoff bound Colts 38-7. QB Mike Vick was just 6-of-19 for 47 yards, spoiling the debut of Falcons interim coach Wade Phillips, who took over after Dan Reeves was fired last week. Vick also was sacked four times. The Colts outgained the Falcons 304-28 in the first half, setting up the rout. Atlanta (R: 2-5 SU & 3-4 ATS) got its only score on T.J. Duckett's 17-yard TD run in the third quarter. For Tampa Bay, Thomas Jones' early touchdown was enough for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to keep their faint playoff hopes alive in a 16-3 victory over the Houston Texans. Jones outgained the entire Houston offense, 151-129. Brad Johnson completed 17-of-28 passes for 237 yards for the Buccaneers (7-7). The Falcons were outclassed by the mighty Colts offense last week but with Vick at quarterback they always have a chance.

I was under the impression that Tampa Bay still had a back door chance to slip into the play offs. Is that not so?

Have anything on the other two games today? With last week's poor showing by Atlanta they might come out strong this week. But with loss of Reeves will they? Everytime I bet on Vick - I lose, everytime I bet against him I lose...Goodluck on it - Been watching your picks and you've been hot...

tampa has a shot. tampa must win out and then tie with dal, sea or the min/GB div loser. tampa has the tiebreaker over all 3 of them.

10 Units Kansas City Chiefs OVER 54.5 -108

A shootout in the Metrodome!!! The Chiefs have clinched their playoff spot early and show no signs of a letdown following Sunday's trouncing of the Lions 45-17. The Vikings (8-6 SU & 7-7 ATS), who opened the season with 6 straight impressive wins, have followed that with an equally unimpressive 2-6 SU & 1-7 ATS skid but still have a shot at the postseason. Their 13-10 loss to the Bears bordered on highway robbery when Daunte Culpepper threw a near-perfect pass to Randy Moss in the end zone, but Bears' DB Charles Tillman ripped the ball away from Randy Moss to prevent Minnesota from scoring the go-ahead touchdown with a minute left. One highlight for Minnesota was rookie RB Onterrio Smith, who stepped in for an injured Michael Bennett and produced a season-high 148 yards on 27 carries for the Vikings. The Vikings (H: 5-2 SU & 4-3 ATS) average 27 points at home, while the Chiefs are outscoring teams by a 27-23 average on the road. Light up the scoreboard, boys!!!!

7 Units New England Patriots -3 +101

Think these teams are used to the snow and the cold now??? Last week both teams played in a blizzard. The Patriots won their 10th in a row with a home win over the Jaguars, while the Jets got by Pittsburgh in a snowstorm on this same field. New England (12-2) is on a 9-1 ATS run!!! The defense is sensational, allowing 6, 13, 3, 26, 0, 20, 34, 0 and 6 points the last 9 weeks. And the 34 they allowed was indoors against the Colts. The Patriots don't run the ball much, but they get an opportunity here as the Jets have a horrible run defense (150 yds rushing allowed pg). On September 20, the Patriots beat the Jets 23-16 and they took full advantage with 147 rushing yards, 4.1 yds per carry!!! Good spot for the Jets to get fired up and stick it to the AFC East champs (the Jets were champs a year ago), but with New York's inability to stop the run, the Pats could make it 11 in a row.
