NFL Football on Saturday. . . you gotta love it!!! Here my selection in the early game with more to follow. Let me know what you think.
5 Units Atlanta Falcons +7.5 -102
Despite the fact that neither team is playing for a postseason invitation, these Divisional rivals will be setting the tone for next year. The Falcons come off a humiliating loss to the playoff bound Colts 38-7. QB Mike Vick was just 6-of-19 for 47 yards, spoiling the debut of Falcons interim coach Wade Phillips, who took over after Dan Reeves was fired last week. Vick also was sacked four times. The Colts outgained the Falcons 304-28 in the first half, setting up the rout. Atlanta (R: 2-5 SU & 3-4 ATS) got its only score on T.J. Duckett's 17-yard TD run in the third quarter. For Tampa Bay, Thomas Jones' early touchdown was enough for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to keep their faint playoff hopes alive in a 16-3 victory over the Houston Texans. Jones outgained the entire Houston offense, 151-129. Brad Johnson completed 17-of-28 passes for 237 yards for the Buccaneers (7-7). The Falcons were outclassed by the mighty Colts offense last week but with Vick at quarterback they always have a chance.
